The GDI Missile Squad
The GDI Missile Squad is one of the most basic unit in the GDI army. They are mainly used against structures but can do damage to vehicles as well. Like the basic Rifleman Squad, they are weak against other infantry and will not do much damage to other infantry. They're useful when you first start out although I've skipped them until I had so much research point I didn't know what to do with them. A guy I used to team with used them until he got Firehawks although I don't recommend it. Maybe one day they will get a nice upgrade but it's Phrnomics we're talking about, this could take a while. I will update this section when a new upgrade comes out.
*The Defense Unit is very much the same. However, in the defensive end of it, they excel at taking down aircraft and doing decent damage to vehicles. Their main strength, however, is against aircraft but I found them to be of be of very little use later on once everyone uses Snipers.

The missile squad should be looked at as a temporary unit. You would be much better off using Pitbulls instead if you are that early in the game or bite the dust and wait for FireHawks. I've personally never used them and don't intend to. It's rather a waste of research points and credits; save up and get better stuff instead. You'd be much better off saving up and getting Firehawks. Once you get those Hawks, you will be set for a very long time. They used to be useful taking out defense structures but now with the rifleman special upgrade, they are quite useless.
Have tried them en-masse on a new base yielded some decent result and would make an excellent initial strike base. I will discuss this more in the strategies section.
